Black raspberries

I have black raspberry bushes on the property. I don't care if the birds eat the fruit at the bottom of the plant but can and will they go up to the top half of the bushes and eat that?

They'll reach as high as they can. My chickens will actually jump. It's hilarious!

Ohhhh I am so jealous! I grew up with Black Raspberries in Ohio and when I ask about them here in Oregon, they look at me like I'm crazy. I lost all the starts I brought from Ohio 10 years ago, the blackberries took them over. I may have to try and find some online I think.

my chickens have picked all my black raspberry bushes clean...and I am ok with that but to sit there and watch them jump for them...I thought I was going to die laughing...my husband and I actually sat outside one day and did no chores because we were to involved in laughing at the chickens..I have 10 chickens (dont ask me what kind all I know is they are layer chickens) we bought them as a pet/hobby for our daughter (the best thing we have ever done)
