Black sex link laying hen

Im wondering what breed rooster i should get to breed with my black sex link laying hen to make the chicks pure blooded as possible. Im assuming a barred rock or a rhode island red since thats what ive heard it is a hybrid of. thanks

Where did you get the sex link from. There are several ways to get a black sex link, but you are right the most common is a RIR over a BR. Just remember that you cannot get sex linked chicks from your sex link hen, at least not reliably

Thank yall. I got the hen from a lady I bought all my RIR/RIW pullets from. She had the hen by herself for eggs. My main goal with both breeds is to keep the best "blood line" so I can pay for feed more chickens, etc. Im new to this but it seems breeding is more productive financially than selling eggs to eat.
