My husband came home with a new chicken and I am unsure what breed she is. She is extremely shy when I come around so getting a picture wasn’t easy, so I hope these photos are enough to ID her!
She has what appear to be black legs, a black beak, and orange eyes. She’s solid black except for gold flecks on her neck. She has a straight comb and white lobes. I thought maybe she was a black sex link but from what I’ve seen she has a few different characteristics... I don’t know what color eggs she lays.
She looks very much like my black Australorp but with white lobes, orange eyes, and the gold flecks on her neck.
The first photo makes her appear much lighter than she is but you can see her gold flecks well. In the second photo she is standing behind my rooster but you’re able to see her white lobes, body shape, etc. much better.
