Black Sex links

so , you'd think it would be easy to sex a black sex link huh? Well, I'm new at this.

What do you think?

the 4th chick has just a touch of white that is on the back of its head.

I have never hatched any but seems like if I am remembering correctly, you have one hen and 3 roos. Don't quote me on that

It looks like you have 3 boys and 1 girl.

Males have the spot, females don't.

Yep, looks like 3 males, 1 female. I love sex-links, but 1 thing that stinks is that you get the dreaded news at a day old!

My confusion is due to the small speck of white on the back of the (female?) chicks head.

I'm pretty new to chicken breeding and this is my first attempt at sex links.

I just want to make sure that the small mark doesn't mean its a rooster.

Believe me...in the hatchery...there's NO question of it.

The males will have that large spot and the females will have no spot. (As in, if you're not looking with a microscope...)

3 cockerels and a pullet. As everyone stated spot on the head equals cockerel
