I was going to try again today. No I haven’t seen any changes. She seems fine, still runs around and walks fine. What can I do for bumblefoot if she does?i hate to say it but i think you may need to bite the bullet and wrangle up Betty for inspection, lol. it would be best to check the bottoms of her feet for any open sores and/or scabby, black spots as those may indicate bumblefoot. have you noticed any changes in her behavior or gait?
i personally haven't had to treat bumblefoot in my flock so i'm a little unsure of the specifics, but from what i understand a small infection will just require cleaning of the site with some warm soapy water and an antiseptic like Betadine and following by wrapping the foot with gauze and an antiseptic ointment like Neosporin (make sure it's not the pain relief variety) to allow it to heal and prevent further bacterial contamination from the environment. a picture will help in assessing the severity and the treatment plan. good luck!I was going to try again today.
