Hi folks, my hens have black spots on their comb. It would be great if someone could tell me what I am dealing with. Thanks! P.s I never noticed how awesome the colours in their eyes are

Those look like pecking wounds, close up shows some very small areas that look like fresh wounds. How many birds do you have, how are they housed and how much space do they have? Over crowding can cause this. Also wondered how long you've had them and where they came from as it looks like they've been de-beaked/beak trimmed. http://www.poultryhub.org/health/health-management/beak-trimming/
I'd watch to see if you have a bully, and assess the space they have to see if those are issues.

I just have the 3 Isa Brown Hens. I Have them set up in a 3x1.8M shed with a 6x3M chicken run on the side. I have 3 nesting box's and a perch for them to roost on in the shed. I have had them for a few months now, they came from a backyard seller who had a hundred or so in a similair sized space. Bought them at roughly 20 weeks old, the damage on the comb is only a recent occurence. She said they were wormed and vaccinated but didnt say anything about de-beaking. All 3 of the hens have the black on their comb so if its pecking wounds they must all be pecking eachother. I havent seen this happen really, perhaps at night, they all like to squeeze into the same nesting box together instead of the roost. I do also let them out every day after work for a few hours in which they have endless acres to roam.

cheers
