Black spots on yound drakes beak?

My 4 week old black swedish drake (I am assuming due to vent sex results) has these black spots on his beak, similar to those found on the beaks of a laying female.

He is so young, but does this mean that he is actually a hen or is it just a unique trait?

My drake has the same thing. Most likely just the coloring of beak

It's called mottling. It is totally normal. I love how it looks on them, and it helps me to tell them apart.
