Ok- so it wasn't a big one- but I couldn't believe my eyes!
She beat the thing on the ground and swallowed it whole. I bought guineas because I was told they sometimes kill snakes, but this was sooo cool! I had my 2 year old little boy there with me. She did us a huge favor! Even the little copperheads are painfully poisonous. Yay chickens!

The chickens bile ducts will neuralize the venom not to worry the eggs will be fine.

f your at all worried about it just toss her eggs for a few days.

Miss chicken seems to be doing fine- it's been almost 7 hours, and she's running around like everyone else. I'll keep my eyes peeled for that snakeskin egg!

One of my Turkens ate a little copperhead when she younger,she's 3 years old now.Look at it as extra protein,lol.
