hi i have a flock of 13 chickens newhampshire reds,new jersey giants,and white leghorns there all hens except for one newhampshire red rooster i found this type of chicken called a black sumatra and i want to get a rooster but i read some info that said there mean can he get along. Thankyou all answers are appriciated
My Sumatra rooster is in a mixed flock and he is a gentleman. He treats the hens well and is not aggressive to the other roosters. He is about a year old. We like him a lot! Good luck with yours.
