I have a chick who I'm assuming is about a week old. I've been taking care of him for almost a week and when I first got him, his right leg and toes were very swollen and reddish. His left leg pointed backwards which I fixed with a bandage. He is unable to stand on his own. For the past two days or so, I noticed the toes on his right foot were turning a darker color (not black yet but darker than his other foot). I'm afraid his toes are dying from poor circulation maybe? I have no idea. Since he can't stand, I've been feeding him every half hour a mixture of chick starter, water, electrolytes, vitamins and probiotics. I hold the cup up to his face and he eats by himself. I've been massaging his legs and feet after every feeding to try and promote better circulation but I'm not sure it's working. Lately he's been trying to stand on his good foot and he is sometimes successful with some help but he puts no weight on his right foot. I also noticed his crop is filled with air which I've been trying to gently ease out. I'm mostly worried about his toes. Is there anything I can do for this chick or is it a lost cause? I can't give up on him, he acts like he really wants to live
