Black + White = Blue?

Does Black (not blue counterpart) + White (not splash) = Blue? It would be easier to breed blues if you could breed a black to a white and get blue. I think it does but I'm not sure.
 
No you cannot get Blue from mating black to white unless there was a slight chance that the White was recessive white and masking Blue or Splash, otherwise, its not possible.

It is in line with a question I have .
I have a beautiful delaware hen.was with Astrolrp, SLW,and our old but unidentified beautiful rooster...........could be a copper black maran
She hatched a really pretty solid blue chick.5 weeks old now.
Makes me crazy trying to figure it out who's the daddy.
