Blackberries

Anyone feed their ducks blackberries?

Any reason they would be dangerous for them - seeds?

Ive fed ducks and chickens both blackberries, never had a problem.

I never thought about blackberries, I'll have to go pick them some! The ducks and chickens have found the wild blueberries growing around my yard and the huckleberries too! Its funny to watch a duck stretch its neck to get the berries up high!

I have one duck that LOVES blueberries. As long as they are entirely ripe. A little green and they all spit them out! Finicky ducks!
I will have to go pick them some blackberries and see how that goes!

I fed my ducks blackberries and they loved them as well

Well, I tried it. They pulverized the blackberries into little individual berry parts and left them on the ground. Now the "garbage collector" (Mildred, who loves all things berry and buggy) is cleaning up all the little pieces! Apparently, blackberries, like peas before them, are going to be an acquired taste for the ducks!

They sure can be finicky!~

Will try again tomorrow.

Had the ducks out last night and Mildred suddenly went darting across the yard all by herself as fast as her little waddling legs would carry her. Apparently, the bug she was chasing did fly fast enough!

Darned ducks, they can be so funny!
