Bleeding broken feather

How do I deal with a broken feather? My main problem is that it is broken down to the skin, my 2nd is that I can't seem to get the bleeding to stop. I have tried cayenne powder and cornstarch.

Its probably a blood feather (meaning the vein was still in it).
They are very hard to get to stop bleeding, so ive heard you will need to pull it out.

I have tried, but can't find anything to clamp onto to pull it out. There is absolutly no part of the feather sticking up from the skin. =0(

yes you will need to pull the broken feather out....use pliers if broken near the skin

Broken blood feathers have to be pulled out. If you wish, you can try to pack the bleeding feather with vaseline.
