Bleeding butt

My 1 yr old BO hen’s butt is bleeding. It has been bare for a few weeks but just started bleeding. She just started sleeping in the nesting box around two months ago. Other than this, she is acting normal. I moved her away from my other hens and put her in the garage. How do I stop the bleeding and clean it up? Any ideas on what could have caused this?

Is it a prolapse oviduct or pecking injury?? I would soak it to clean it up and put some neosporin on it.

Ouch. I would flush it well with plain saline solution and then put regular neosporin on it and coat it well. Keep her as clean as possible and and by her self. They sell quik stop at pet stores if it won't stop bleeding. My guess is the other hens have been picking on her so, she went to nesting box so others couldn't peck on her. Chickens become cannibals when they see any red. She needs to be all healed before putting her back in with others and then spray Blukote over the bare area.
