3 week old chicks. Healthy 1 day, the next day they were bleeding from nostrils and their upper beak was shorter than the lower. They were sleepy, lethargic, and trembling.
I brought them into the house to a warmer area. Now it is 3 days later and they are much better. They are alert and eating and drinking normally. However, their beaks are black and bruised looking and now they are deformed with their upper beak being a lot shorter than the lower. 1 appears that the nostrils are enlarged. Due to the beak being uneven, they cannot close their mouth all the way. Does anyone know what this is?
