Hello all! I live in the suburbs and don’t have a too-large yard. I was wondering what I could use to temporarily block off exits to my yard to prevent my chickens from escaping. Any ideas? It would have to be easy to move around.
Thanks!

Depending on how high the rest of your fence is, and how wide the "exits" are, you could look for used gates on Craigslist, or scraps of wire/field fencing. A span of fencing like 2/4inch 5 ft tall no climb could be zip tied or bungied to your existing fence or even to your house wall or a tree to block your birds' path. Since it's temporary it simply has to be functional. Scraps---pallets, zip ties, bungies, scraps of fencing, even a large pet crate on end on top of some blocks might do.

That sounds good! The only problem is I’m a kid and my parents don’t want me to add more chicken stuff to the yard, do you think it would still work?

Need to see pics of the yard and the "exits" to know what might work.

Do they even approve of chickens roaming the yard?
