someone in my brooder has bloody poop and I am not sure what to do.... so much chicken stuff swimming around in my brain! What should I do? I have them on medicated chick starter (only kind they had this time) could it have to do with that?

I would get the sulfa cocci med and treat the water for a course...can you tell how many of them it is? stuck to their butt?

I can't really tell, I guess I could separate them one by one long enough for them to poop.... Is this cocci? how serious can this be?

Coccidia can kill them.

As TheNewMrsEvans mentioned, getting meds for them is highly recommended. Sulmet or Corid are common and can be found at your local feed store and/or vet supply. You just add it to the water as stated on the bottle.

If caught early and treated, you should be fine. The nice thing is, they usually form an immunity after they get the first time.

should I try to separate them or should I assume they all have it and treat them all? for it there are 7 of them together.

If several have it, I'd go ahead and treat all of them. Otherwise, you may have several pop up days later and you'll have chicks at different points of treatment, which sounds chaotic to me.
