Was hoping that wasnt the case! Iv noticed theyve recently started pecking n trying to eat their wet substrate as soon as i tip it out of their water dish! Cheeky girls almost axt like theyre kicking it in there deliberately to get it wet for me to tip out coz they run right to it to nibble on! Its hemp

I'm not sure if that is blood or not. Have you fed them anything that could color the poop red? I had some poop pure red after I fed them cooked beets and some pooped a fluorescent blue after eating red cabbage. What they eat can color the poop.

How are they acting? If they are active and normal it's probably not Coccidiosis. If they are standing around fluffed up and not eating or drinking I'd be very concerned.

But it could be blood and it could be Coccidiosis. That's too dangerous to wait around on a "maybe". I'd start them all on Corid immediately, Coccidiosis can kill fairly quickly. That's about the only thing I'd treat for without knowing I had something I really needed to treat for.

What is the medicine in the medicated feed? That information should be on the label. It's probably Amprolium but could be something else. Amprolium is the same medicine as in Corid, but in medicated feed is at a much smaller dosage. In the dosage in medicated feed it is meant as a preventative for Coccidiosis, not as a treatment. And yes, it is still possible for them to come down with Coccidiosis even if they are on medicated feed.

With the differences in dosage between medicated feed and Corid I'd follow the instructions on the Corid on how to give it, whether you are feeding medicated feed or not. If you want you can get some non-medicated feed for them while they are under treatment but I would not bother.
