Blood spot

How long after hens start to lay should it take for the blood spot to go away. I have read the vit K thing but my girls free range. I feed them spinach and one of them always has a small blood spot in her egg.

we went through that with one of our hens and it finally went away after about 3 weeks, Once in a great while we will have an egg come up with a blood spot but nothing to get excited about.

I thought the spot ment the egg was fertile?

I have one hen laying out of 16 hens and I roo and all but one had a blood spot on them is it safe to eat we did if not i wont eat the blood spot ones anymore

The blood spot doesn't mean it is fertile.
