bloody discharge from broiler chicken???

I had to cull one of our broilers this evening. It had a bloody discharge coming from its nostrils. it hard turned all the feathers brown around its neck. I couldn't risk the other birds well being so i had to cull it. does anybody know what i am dealing with? infectious bronchitis? Infectious coryza?

The bloody discharge from the beak or nostrils sounds more like a virus called ILT or infectious laryngotracheitis. It was probably wise to cull the chicken, although that is never easy. If you saved or refrigerated the body, or you have another that shows symptoms, get a necropsy by your state vet. Sorry for your loss.
