I have many new baby chicks, they all were vac. for mareks dis. Thier stool is bloody and snotty looking. When I picked some of them up to look at them they vomitted a clearish fluid. I was cleaning thier cages Sat., and let them on the floor to play, after I was done I put them back up in thier cages and notice that there was broken glass on the floor, that my uncle told me he cleaned up! Well Monday night I found one of my polish dead and a few more very weak, and thier bloody snotty stool. They are very lethargic, and wont eat or drink. I went out Tuesday morning and found 3 more dead. But not all of them are having the bloody stool. But the ones who do are not good. Also when I cleaned their cages I put a lil sand n thier cage. So I have no idea if this is a parasite, maybe the glass, the dirt? Any advice would be appreciated!

:hit This is very frustrating and it hurts me that they r hurting!! I have started antibiotics today.

I would try Corid in their water-could be coccidiosis(based on the bloody stool and the apparent rapid spread).
You can get Corid at the feed store and dosing is 1 tsp. per gallon of water for 5 days(change the water every day) and give them some yogurt to ease intestinal distress.
Also, if they ate glass, I really don't know what you could possibly do about that.
Good luck to you.
