Bloody vent and pecking

Came yesterday to find one of my chickens with her vent all bloody and the others were pecking at her. Brought her in the house only to find this morning one dead in the coop with a bloody vent. Why now, anyone one have any thoughts?

Sounds like cannibalism.

Examine all chooks and separate out all injured parties. If one chook seems to be the main offender, separate or cull.
