Bloody yolk

I cracked open a guinea egg to eat this morning and the yolk was very bloody. Eggs are gathered every day. What could this be?

Sometimes blood just gets into the egg as it is forming. If it happens on every egg that chicken lays, I would have him checked on but if it is a once in a while thing then you have nothing to worry about.
