BLR Wyandotte hatching eggs

Well, I could not wait until next year to start this flock of birds, I won some in auction and will be starting this year. I do have one question though, do I need to get a roo from outside the bloodline to start? I was planning on changing roosters every few years to keep the bloodline clean, so should I not keep any out of this hatching to breed with the hens??
