Hello I live in Burlington MI and I am looking for some standard BLR Wyandottes. I got some chicks from Mc Murray 2 years ago when they first got them. I have been looking for people who breed them since then so I can get some unrelated birds but haven't had any luck but then someone recomended Backyard Chickens so I am trying here.
The chicks I got from mc murray were mostly roosters and only 4 hens I have sold some and some got grabed by coons and now have 4 roos and 4 hens left. If anyone wants to buy the roosters or trade roosters let me know I am thinking of keeping 1 but if I can get 2 unrelated roosters I am thinking about selling all 4. I am looking for 1 mabe 2 young unrelated roosters and several unrelated young hens. I want to get into breeding them and would like pointers on breedling good quality BLRW also.

you might end up having to purchase hatching eggs. lots of people on here sell them. I do when my girls are laying (pretty limited right now)

I am interested in BLRs also and have been doing a lot of online research. You can find a lot of info by searching Google or Yahoo! with "blue laced red wyandotte" or check out these two informative sites - bluelacedred.com or bluepoultry.com.

http://kycalls.webs.com/bluelacedredwyandotte.htm they sell chicks and an occasional hatching egg auction on eggbid, actually won some yesterday from them. Beautiful typey and correct colored birds. If you want good birds do not cross with the ones from mcmurry youre better off selling them. http://www.sterlingcenterfarm.com/index.htm Sue sells them also as well as eggs in the spring. I've got young birds from her that I hatched out as well and are looking verry good but too young to tell which are the best. I've also got eggs from 2 other breeders that have nice birds but don't remember who they are right at the moment. Next year I'll probably order chicks from Jesse Paul of http://bluelacedred.com/Pauls Poultry.html and from Foley. They both also have gorgeous silver laced and Whites...

I have BLRW. I got mine from Sue and Foley. I sell hatching eggs for $40 a dozen+.

If you are interested in shipping, I have 14 chicks that are up 3 weeks old now and a handfull due to hatch tomorrow. We have mainly the splash variation and a few of the mediums in our flock. For pics of the adults, http://s35.photobucket.com/albums/d196/destiny_56085/BLR%20Wyndottes/

I
live in southwestern MN and am able to ship to most areas. The chicks are $5 each unless you take every single one including the ones hatched tomorrow. I'll cut you a deal once I know numbers then. Shipping and a box is usually about $55 and I can refund the difference if I am too high. My e-mail is [email protected] or my cell is (507) 227-3213. Let me know and I could get them shipped next monday.
Thanks,
Amy

Sorry but someone must have seen this posting. Had someone just pick all the BLR's this afternoon now. Will be more hatching though....
