BLSW and VLW

I am just finding out about two different color varieties for Wyandotte chickens: Blue Laced Silver and Violet Laced. I am very interested in adding a few of these stunning hens to my flock. Does anyone know of a breeder in the U.S. who is currently breeding these? I have several concerns with shipping internationally. Mostly DH would probably have a heart attack if I paid animal import fees. Anything over $15 for a single bird and he shuts me down.

I'm actually working on breeding our own BLW. If things pan out, we should have most of the genetic stock this year to start things off next spring. As far as the Violet, that's gunna be a tuffy. Just getting the violet genes into the Wyandotte is a bit of work. The BLW is not all that difficult to breed for, hence that's the direction I'm headed.

These chickens are just gorgeous. Taking out the red and lightening the black to a nice shadowy gray.

I wonder where they pulled the blue genes from and how many generations it took to get there?

Not sure, but the breeder is based out of Australia (I think).
