I had some chickens getting pecked, so I sprayed Blu-Kote on them. Then I noticed the warning - that it is to not be sprayed on animals that produce food. Does this mean I shouldn't eat the eggs?

Suspect it means don't eat the treated meat. Since it is topical, I think it would not be absorbed in sufficient amounts to to be in the eggs.

It's fine to use on layers. Blukote is mostly just gentian violet. Perfectly safe to use, but not tested specifically for use in animals in our food chain. It's been applied to newborn babies in hospitals for years, so it must be pretty safe. aggie9296 is absolutely correct in her post.

Good luck.

Thank you! I appreciate it. I'll eat the eggs!
