Blu kote

Good day
We have horses and use blue kote. One of our chickens is badly hurt and we cleaned and used cream but someone said use blu so they don’t get pecked ? But it has alcohol mostly in it and will burn her? Thanks she is white too not that looking good is more important than feeling good. Just want to keep her safe from
Getting pecked ? Yes she’s in her own cage at night but we let her out during the day. She is happy acting normal just has a big cut on her neck

Do you have any pine tar? That would be a good choice to coat the wound with. I wouldn't put bluekote on anything deep or severe.

Thank you. I don’t but I wash. Rinse. And glob antibiotic cream in it and she’s acting great just doesn’t look great. I will get some pine tar. Thank you!

Chlorhexidene Hibiclens is very good to disinfect wounds that are not just scrapes. The antibiotic ointment is very good to follow with. BluKote is more for scrapes or milder wounds.
