Blu-kote

It is safe to use for topical use or on minor wounds, or to disguise redness to prevent pecking. It can sometimes be helpful for fungal infections of the skin. It's not best for severe or deep wounds. It also stains like crazy, so best to wear gloves and apply in a place that you don't care if it gets all over. It also stains the tissue or skin, so if used on a wound it can make it hard to see what the actual tissue looks like, making it hard to assess healing or infection. I used it on a comb injury once, applied it in a bathroom, the bird shook it's head and purple stuff was on everything, including me. :barnieI rarely use it anymore, I just use an antibiotic ointment.
