I have two Blue Americaunas. I can not figure out if they are hens or roosters. They don't have long tail feathers. They are 17 weeks old. One started crowing about 3 weeks ago and the other one started up about 2 weeks ago.

I have no roosters and I live in the city so I can't keep them if they keep crowing! A neighbor has already threatened to call the city if I don't "abate" them by Labor Day!

They are beautiful birds.

Sorry, two boys.

If you put them on an ad, make sure you list them as "Blue Splash". That way there will be no misunderstandings about their color with the buyer.

Those are both roosters. They seem to have long pointed neck feathers, and if they are crowing then they are defiantly boys.

They're crowing, they have long hackle and saddle feathers, large red combs---those boys are roosters.

Oh well, I guess I had to hear it sooner or later! Thanks so much for responding. And thanks about the "blue splash," coloring!
