Blue and splash cochins. Any reason to keep a black cockerel?

I would not have a blue program of any sort without a few black birds. It intensifies the blue coloring in your blues and keeps the splash from washing things out quite so much.

I have a couple black hens with my Blue rooster. I always have at least 1 blue, 1 black and 1 splash hen with my rooster.

Thanks for all the answers! I will definitely keep one of the black cockerels then, and one of the blue ones. Can't wait now to know exactly who is who, and who shows the best color. They're 3 weeks old, and the little cockerels combs are already getting huge and red. I hope all the ones who don't have the bright combs already are pullets. Crossing my fingers!
