I have a very mixed flock. I love having as many different breeds as I can! One of my favorites is the blue Andalusian and although she is very motherly, she seems to have a very large comb for her age. This is my first time owning chickens and my only blue Andalusian so I don't know how to compare her and I don't know what to expect. I'm pretty sure that she's about a month and a half. She is my only blue Andalusian so I don't know how to compare her but I'm pretty sure that she's about a month and a half. She has a slight upright posture and although she lives with many chickens much older than her she always insists on having the top perch. She is very good at flying to. Quite possibly better than some of my 3 to 4 month hens! And she always seems to love having my young chicks cuddle under her wings but she has some very pointy hackle feathers and I'm worried that she may be a rooster. What do you guys think? I only have two white egg layers, her and a white leghorn so please let me know what you think.

I'm pretty sure it's a pullet, but I think maybe it's a bit older than 6 weeks? If it's truly 6 weeks than it could be a rooster. Mine didn't get pink combs to closer to 3-4 months last year.

She's definitely not that old. I checked her age she's about 2 months old. I've read a bit about how combs can be different sizes but do you still think she could be a roo? I'd hate to have to get rid of her after she's taken such good care of the young chicks and bonded with them...

I unfortunately didn't get real good pictures of them last year. Closer to 8 weeks I would think a pullet.
