I have a pair(roo&hen) of Buff Orpingtons, and a pair of BLRWs. Starting in February(depending on if they wait for spring to start laying or not), I want to breed them. The goal would be to get a blue double laced(incomplete) buff. Then with that generation, I want to breed to a buff again which should result in a blue buff Columbian. It will take trial and error of course and as usual, it will take time. Plus, there will be lots of chances that I won't get any of the "right" colors out of an incubation(so trial and error). I'm also pretty new to incubating, but I'm hopeful. With these 4 I should have lots of different colors and patterns of chicks, many of which should be pleasing just not necessarily "right".
Before I start rambling: any ideas, concerns, tips, etc. are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Madie
