I recently bought what I was told was a set of three Blue Cochin Bantam hens when I paid a visit to my brother in NC last month. However, I was always a bit skeptical about one of them... She was a little too pretty, walked a bit more upright and had a bigger comb than the rest. I was finally given the last piece of the puzzle when "she" started crowing last week. It took me a bit to realize what it was because it was very faint and didn't sound like your typical cartoon "cock-a-doodle-do." 
I have no idea how old, but it is obvious that he is young. He is very sweet and allows me to pick him up and hold him. Unfortunately, I can't have a crowing rooster with the proximity of my neighbors. If anyone local is interested you can contact me at [email protected]
