Blue cochin

How can i differentiate blue and black cochin chicks at day old.my black cochin male has yellow legs and blue cochin female has bluish or slate legs so can this also be used to identify the color of chicks because some hatch in yellowish legs while some in blue legs

Black chicks will be black, and blue chicks are blue or a dark gray.
