Blue comb wheezing breathing in

Well praise the Lord he's better!! I checked on him this afternoon (didn't have time this am) and he was pecking at the ground, and I'm like OMG is he eating!? So I had a plum for him and I picked him up and he started eating it! Which he'd had zero interest in any food. Like he forgot how to eat! His comb and wattles are back to red, just a little blue on the tips. No gasping. Tail is up. An occasional cough. I can't believe it! Should I continue VetRx, Amoxicillin and Safeguard?

@HawkHollarRanch this is fabulous news!!!! :woot
Yes continue with the antibiotics until he can go 3 days with no symptoms. So 7-10-14 days, depending on what day hes on today. Never stop with antibiotics until the bacteria is dead, too soon causes bacteria to build immunity.

Use the safeguard as directed for chickens, .2 ml per pound of bird orally once a day for 5 days.

When all these treatments are finished, offer up probiotics every day for one week.

Keep us posted and give him a big hug for us! :hugs

Awesome! Thank you! I will

@HawkHollarRanch How is your boy doing? 😊
He's doing good! I finished the 5 days of dewormer. Still doing the antibiotics. He still has a bit of blue on the tips of his comb. And he does occasionally shake his head in an unusual way. (Like when you have water in your ears.) I'm still keeping him quarantined for maybe another week. But he's eating and drinking well. Thank you for checking! ♥
