Stripes is the extra chick from my Sept. 21 Welp order.

He's handsome fellow with a nice record of early development, having been the first boy in this batch to show his comb. Since he's a clean-legged Marans and I only want the feather-footed French type he's not suited for my goals.

I can't say anything about his temperament at this age. For what it's worth, I intentionally avoid making pets out of my cockerels and he's in a mixed age flock with adult hens and a senior cockerel.

If you want Blue Cuckoo genetics and the potential to father dark-egg layers I'm asking $10.

You can see that he's in the middle of a juvenile molt and that his new feathers coming in well-marked.

I thought he would be snapped right up the handsome guy. I just saw someone looking to get a roo but he is in Mass. good luck.

I wish I could have roos. I think they are the best looking. Your guy is really filling out well.

You should see Green, the biggest of the Blue Australorp boys.

But I can't show him to you because I don't have a current solo photo -- they don't like to stand still for pictures. I just know how heavy he is from tossing him out of the nestboxes every night (the chicks are determined to sleep in there).
