Blue Dust Bathing Sand???

Hey! I was trying to figure out if I could find/make a good dust bathing sand that was blue..... I want to give my buttons a nice SAFE dust bath that looks like a pond....is this even remotely possible?

You could use food coloring to dye the sand but I am not sure if that is a good idea...
I assume food coloring is safe to eat but....

I can tell you, I know useless stuff

My hubby is mostly blind , I colour his salt for him all the time,regular liquid food colouring the trick is you have to let it dry a long time , like 3-4 days for a pie plate size full .

I just drop the colour and stir for ever...
Then let it dry and stir , you could dry it in the sun so it might go faster for you !!

You can buy colored aquarium sand or buy colored sand from a craft store.

I wouldn’t do the craft store , silica sand is not good for animals ... and aquarium sand should be ok .. right ? If it’s for reptiles ??

Food colour it at least you know it’s a food grade product
