blue food coloring as bluing when bathing?

Is the dye okay to use on chickens?!? Post pics!

I think it is. She looks fine. She rubbed most of it off today dust bathing, so I dont think there'll be any "side effects"

See? barely any pink there. Its more visible in real life.

But yes it is safe.

My chickens LOVE their baths, so they are not poor chickens they are happy chickens

Unfortunately I did not have time to do my white cockerel today and I am selling him tomorrow so I won't be able to try it on white, but I will take a before pic of my blue splash and then an after picture to see if it brightened her up. I will leave the full on dyeing to my kitty.

I was gonna say there is a difference in bluing and blue dye.... <G> I wouldn't try it. ( and unless I'm totally forgetting my color stuff... yellow and blue make green... not white <G>)

Tried it on my cat too, and I used a lot of it, and he is still pearly white and the yellow on his legs is gone too!
