Hi all,

I opened my duck nesting box this morning to find an egg had been laid that is a bluey/greyish coloured shell, im wondering which of my duckies it could belong to? ive got 3x khaki campbells who are laying white shelled eggs and an aylesbury and a mallard which arent laying atm, can anyone shed any light on this?

thanks:thumbsup

Congrats on your Mallard egg.

Aylesbury and Khaki Campbells both lay white eggs...leaving only the mallard, who lay coloured eggs...

Thanks for the replies and the info, im so proud of my mallard to have started laying, havent tasted one yet thou as im a bit dubious as the first few chickens that started laying their eggs tasted a bit wierd for the 1st couple that were laid, I didnt even know that ducks laid different colour shelled eggs, i thought they were all white so that was a nice surprise and one of my lavender chickens has laid me a little blue egg this weekend too! bonus!
