I have a pair of Blue laced Red Wyandotte bantams and I was wondering if they are a recognized show breed. I am just getting into raising chickens and all the breeds and variations are confusing..

they can be shown as wyandottes but are not a recognized color. you could only win best of breed if it was good enough.

thanks for the information. hoppy and cedar post. we are not looking for serious show birds just like to take a bunch to the fair in the fall.

no we just picked this pair up a few weeks ago. traded them for a standard size barred rock rooster. I have no idea how old they are or anything else about them besides they look good.

You might want to check this with the APA website. In the banty version , the color maybe recognized , they might refer to it simply as a blue laced.
