Blue laced red wyandottes neck colors

One of breeds I am considering is blue laced red wyandotte. I've been looking at pictures and some hens have very little, is any, blue lacing on their necks and others have so much lacing on their necks that little red is visible. Why is that?

Different breeding, and genetics. I think every BLRW I've owned looked differently, even from the same hatchery. It's a color that is hard to get right, and they need to be crossed back to black I believe. I'm no breeding expert though, so I can't be positive.

This is good news for me; I like the variability, especially if it is so from the same hatchery.
