Hi,
I'm new to backyard chickens. I've spent weeks researching and I have bought a Polish Tolburnt last week( I was told they don't really lay eggs but this one is my splurge). Hopefully getting a beautiful Barnevelder tomorrow. The other 2 chickens I would like are a blue laced red wyandotte(bantam) would be great and a blue Favaucana. All are docile and I think would do well together. I looking for #1 your advice on this. #2. Does anyone know anyone who has these pullets/hens in my area. I am willing to drive anywhere from Grass Valley CA to Central Bay Area Coast to Fresno/Merced Area To Sonora Mountains. LOL Thank you for your time : )

Now to speak about your Polish, They do lay eggs as long as they are not roosters. LOL Just not soo many like a leghorn or sexlink.
If you want to find a chicken near you , I suggest you read and post and subscribe to a local STATE THREAD. There you have local peeps from your state post all kind of things. Navigate to " Where am I? Where are You " and choose your State ..

WISHING YOU BEST

If you are interested in getting chicks shipped, Murray McMurray hatchery has blue red wyandotte chicks available in the winter that are straight run. Though if you are looking for good quality birds, you might want to buy from a private breeder rather than a hatchery.

ok, so I just need to search around for a breeder. It's hard to be patient lol :) Thanks for the input.

Hey i ordered 15 chicks from murraymcmurray hatchery but the shipping box was so small chicks were stepping on each other and 7 died on the way 1died the night after
