Blue Marans

A while back I posted my dark brown eggs from my Blue Marans but didn't post a picture of my birds. My boys barely have just a smidgen of feathers on their legs.

The chickens are too! Blue has to be one of the most beautiful chicken colours.

How well do they do with cold weather?

Where did you get them from? I had black coppers and I loved the eggs but the hens were broody constantly.

I got hatching eggs from a breeder in Texas off of eBay. Sellers name is bluewaterranch . Love these birds they are a little skittish but not too bad. I don't know how they'd do in the winter yet only hatched them 6 months ago.

If they are like the Coppers they will be fine. I have Ayam Cemanis from Indonesia and they do fine in the winter too as well as long as they have a proper coop to stay in.
