I thought the second pair of birds were neat looking... I'm not into breeding though, so I just go for the "eye candy"

If I was going to breed, I would go to a well known breeder of that particular breed, so that I knew I was getting quality. If I get birds off craigslist, I don't expect perfection by any means. If that doesn't bother you, and they are the right price, then go for it! Oh yeah... I wouldn't buy anything from the lady who stole the pics from cackle. You already know she's a bit of a thief... JMO though! Have fun getting new chickies... and remember - KEEP THEM ISOLATED

I thought Lakenvelders only came in gold and silver in the US?

Really, the golds are called Vorwerk. Lakenvelders are silver.
Blue Lakenvelders have blue replacing black & have a small tidy comb ....I'm not singularly familiar with the breed but it didn't take much to spot that those were not Lakenvelders.

I didn't think they looked like lakenvelders either.
I think this person is in it for the money and doesn't have good stock. It bothers me when they don't use their own pictures. I feel that way about anything I looki at online. They seem shady to me.
I would suggest for you to buy from a hatchery before you buy there. Just my opinion. I don't want you to be disappointed or tricked. Watchin' out for a fellow BYC'er

Well the first pair are gone which is OK withe mw. The second pair i just like the color. I will get from a breeder if i am gonna breed, good suggestion!!!! Maybe invest in eggs and incubator.
