Blue and black Spitzhaubens were imported by Greenfire Farms several years ago. Since then these gorgeous birds have been maintained and improved by a handful of breeders in this country. Same great personality as their spotted cousins. Very winter hearty, good white egg layers. These pens consists of a blue roosters over several blue hens, one splash hen, and one black hen. Standard blue, black, splash genetics apply. Test hatch has shown 100% fertility in these pens. Eggs will be fresh, wrapped in bubble wrap, and double boxed. I do everything I can to ensure their safe arrival to you, but cannot guarantee anything after they leave my hands. $40 includes 12+ eggs. Shipping is $15. NPIP NY.

My eggs are carefully collected and rotated multiple times per day. Eggs are individually bubble wrapped and packed in shredded paper. They are then double boxed for extra protection. I recommend marking the box to be held at the PO for pickup to avoid excess time in a bumpy postal jeep. I've hatched many shipped eggs myself, so I pack them as I'd like to receive them.

Upon arrival, eggs should be carefully unwrapped and inspected for any damage, then allowed to rest for 24 hours fat end up before placing them in the incubator. If the aircells are super jiggly, you may leave the turner off for a couple days.

I have shipped eggs to Alaska and even with a few extra days of them going MIA, many of them still hatched. Best of luck with any hatching you do!

I'm sure you do a wonderful job. Sometime I think there must be someone in Cincinnati who shakes the box. Haha! I've tried Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Texas. Maybe I'll try again. Will let you know.

Do you still have these available? (btw I love the Finger Lakes area, it's beautiful, I used to live there, a tiny town called Rock Stream)
