So a week ago, we tried to introduce 3 chicks into our flock. 2 if them ended up getting injured and one of them has a blue spot on their back so I'm wondering if I should be conserved. We have been treating their wounds every night and they are looking a lot better but I can't help but be a little concerned.

I agree. How old are the chicks and how large are your other birds? I would place the chicks inside a dog crate with food and water when you try to reintroduce them. Smaller chicks should not be with fully grown chickens unless they were raised in the flock with a broody hen. Once they are similar in size, and after being familiar behind the dog crate , they will have a better chance.

The chicks are 70 days old, and we have two silkie hens, one astrolorp hen and an astrolorp rooster. We are planning to try to introduce them again slowly with the way you mentioned after they have fully healed from their injuries. Of course I'll be monitoring them during this time just to make sure they don't try to get them through the dog crate.

When that time comes, make sure the rooster is not too aggressive or you could separate him for awhile. Hopefully, it goes smoothly. The bruising looks serious, so hopefully there are no internal injuries.
