I had a question:

How can you tell if your Duckling is a male or female? I have two Blue Swedish Ducklings and we think we may have a male and a female.
We think that our lighter one is a female since she is very quiet and when she does make noise it's more like chirping and we think that our darker one is the male but when or how can you really tell the difference.

Right now all I have are photos, and they will be 7 weeks this Friday. Let me know if a video would work better I will try and post a link when I can. Thanks again everyone

You could probably voice sex them at this age. Females are the ones that quack and are usually pretty noisy. Males are quieter and have a more raspy voice. Here's a good video where you can hear the difference (it's in Swedish, but it says the sexes of the ducks in English in the video info; first one is a male, second is a female):

Oh no my little Donald (the darker one) might be a DeeDee lol but my other duck doesn't quack yet but isn't raspy at all still sounds like a baby but is bigger than the darker one.

I bet the quiet one is the male. Are you hearing any actual quacks yet or just peeping. When I had 2 males one was more talkative than the other but neither quacked and didn't get raspy till 9-11 weeks. My females started to quack around 3-6 weeks. Here is another link on how to tell the difference in sex when they are a bit older http://www.majesticwaterfowl.org/artquacks.htm
Haha! We named the lighter one Daisy and the darker one Donald, Guess we might have to switch there names

Our lighter one is still peeping and usually really quite. The Darker one is just such a cry baby and very loud lol

Oh no! lol!

You'll probably have to wait a little longer to know for sure, but the females usually start sticking a quack in here and there between their baby peeps by this age.

Thanks a lot @Orca5094 I will keep an ear open for that quack from the lighter one. If I'm comparing them to the video you sent me then it sounds like our darker one is a female instead of the male we thought. It would be nice if both were females for eggs

I wish you luck for two girls! ;D

And I just wanted to say that these two are absolutely gorgeous ducks! I tried to get Swedish Blue eggs last summer, but the lady I ordered them from had a fox get into her duck house and kill her whole flock before she filled my order. Very sad, and I haven't been able to find anyone else who sells them here yet. For now I'm content with my Cayugas, though. :)

Thank you @Orca5094

And I am so sorry to hear about that. We found our two from a local farm, we actually went in to get some baby chicks (very first time buying chickens) and my husband saw baby ducks but she was holding them for someone, guess that someone never showed because when we went back 2 weeks later to pick up 2 baby Appenzeller chicks they were still there. So my husband was so set on us taking them and I am so glad he was because I love them oh so much.

You said you had Cayugas, is that the one on your profile photo? It's absolutely gorgeous!!!!
