Bluecomb??

So i have these two cockerels (that i'm trying to re-home, but that's another story) and yesterday i noticed both their combs have started getting a little discolored toward the back edge. In looking up what it might be, i've come across blue comb... I can't really find any more information than it's a fatal... virus? I'm not sure, i know it's bad and whatnot, but i can't really find a whole lot on treating it, diagnosing it etc.

Maybe you guys can help??

How common is blue comb?
Is it possible to have two birds affected at the exact same time while the rest of the flock remains healthy?
Does it spread readily from one bird to another?
There are no other symptoms... no wheezing, no diarrhea, no depression, listlessness, lethargy etc. The entire flock is eating and drinking normally. It is hot here, like 105 and above, but the flock is free-ranged and has all day access to fresh water (we have an automatic waterer that refills twice a day) and shade.

So in short, is it possible to have two of 13 birds have blue comb at the exact same time with no other symptoms and no other birds in the flock affected?

I'm pretty anxious about this, since one of the cockerels was due to go to a new home this weekend and i won't give away an unhealthy bird. Any input is really appreciated.

Sometimes weaker birds can get things from each other. Blue or purple combs indicate that bloodflow is kind of slow in that area. Last year my bird had a Respiratory Infection had the other common symptoms first and the bluing of the comb was the last one. He died shortly after from unrelated causes (totally unrelated to his illness).

I'm going to bump this up because I know I haven't really answered your questions. I hope someone else can help.

heat can and will turn chickens faces, pale, purple, or blue.. If they are wild/skittish of you and it happens when you come near that is quite common as well.

Right now i'm feeling a bit foolish because i panicked about it, went out this afternoon and both their combs are a nice robust red... The little brats.
