Blushing Buffs??

I am still pretty new to chickens, so I hope this doesn't sound too silly but... Do chickens blush? Everytime I pick up and pet my Buff Orpingtons their faces and combs turn a deep red, then turn back after I set them down. They dont fight or struggle when I pick them up and even seem to like the attention, after all it usually comes with a small treat. I was just wondering if this was normal or if I am stressing them out? Just in case this helps, they are 2 months old now and huge! Thanks for reading.

When my 9 week old golden comets jump on a platform to greet me some of them get quite flushed and two of the girls 'blush' when I hold them. I think at this age the blood vessels developing for the comb and wattles are close to the surface and I've heard that the pullets facial tones and foot color will blanch when they're older....would love to hear from others on this, too.
